SLSU partners with LGU Infanta, provides extension services
Southern Luzon State University entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Local Government Unit of Infanta, Quezon for the extension project entitled “Helping Alleviate Poverty of LGBT through Amplifying Skills” (HAPLAS) in a virtual MOA signing ceremony via Zoom Cloud conferencing, Sept. 27.
The said partnership was facilitated by the College of Business, Administration, Hospitality, and Accountancy through the efforts of the Dr. Chona V. Cayabat, dean of the college; Prof. Sarah Dane Lising, extension coordinator of the college; Dr. Leomar C. Miano, program leader; and Mr. Alex Peras.
Through the partnership, the college will provide skills training and development, financial literacy, and livelihood for LGBTQ+ people living in the poverty line, specifically those who are members of the Samahang Ikatlong Lahi ng Infanta (SILI).
The MOA was entered into by Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes and Hon. Filipina Grace America, mayor of Infanta, Quezon.
