SLSU participates in NEDA Adopt-a-Municipality Initiative
Southern Luzon State University participated in the National Economic and Development Authority Region IV-A CALABARZON adopt-a-municipality initiative, which aims to provide coordinated assistance to municipalities such as Pitogo, Quezon, 8 April 2021.
SLSU, through the Judge Guillermo Eleazar (JGE) Tagkawayan campus, presented the recently concluded Department of Agriculture-funded applied research project on mud crab fattening and product development and smoked bangus project. The projects were presented to gather support from the Local Government Unit of Pitogo, Quezon.
Pitogo, Quezon was identified as one of the 35 convergence areas (CAs) by the CALABARZON Regional Development Council (RDC). According to the RDC, “the identified CAs form part of the mechanism to ensure economic development and poverty reduction in the region.”
The meeting was concluded with presentations of the initiatives of the regional offices of DOST, DTI, and CDA to help CAs in the CALABARZON region.
