SLSU opens Kiddie Fun Place
In response to the limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic on human mobility, Southern Luzon State University officially opened a Kiddie Fun Place at the Science and Technology Building, March 26, 2021.
The said Kiddie Fun Place is a safe indoor space for children of SLSU employees and faculty members to stay while their parents are busy at work. The said project was conceptualized pre-pandemic to cater to the needs of SLSU employees and faculty members in need of child care services.
The opening of the Kiddie Fun Place is part of the International Women’s Month celebration and is a project spearheaded by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office of SLSU, through the leadership of Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, university president; Dr. Susana A. Salvacion, GAD head; and her lone staff, Kristian M. Tan.
SLSU also hopes for the Kiddie Fun Place to become a place where children can forget the worries they experience because of the pandemic.
