SLSU, DOH, to offer scholarship for allied health sciences
Southern Luzon State University is set to partner with the Department of Health – Quezon province for the offering of scholarships and financial aid to allied health sciences students after a consultation with provincial officials of DOH at SLSU Café, Aug. 4.
The partnership was brought up during a discussion between Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, Dr. Dhenalyn A. Dejelo, Mr. Brian P. Villanueva of DOH, and faculty members of the College of Allied Medicine on the requirements for the accreditation of the birthing clinic of SLSU.
“Malaki ang chance ng SLSU na makuha ang partnership na ito kasama ang DOH dahil pasado sa minimum requirements ang College of Allied Medicine,” Mr. Villanueva stated.
The consultation was conducted for the proposed offering of the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program in SLSU. SLSU will be the first state university in the CALABARZON Region to offer the said scholarship grant for allied health sciences students in collaboration with DOH.
