SLSU joins CESO on Accelerating Women Empowerment
SLSU and CESO entered into a Memorandum of Understanding through a virtual signing ceremony, June 14, 2021 via google meet platform
Being on the same page on promoting gender equality and advancing economic empowerment of women, SLSU will be participating on CESO’s Accelerating Women ’s Empowerment (AWE) project. AWE which primarily responds to economic and social needs of women and supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is now at the academic community, launched to Southern Luzon State University.
A virtual mentoring session will be facilitated by CESO through its Volunteer Advisers to the graduate and undergraduate students of business administration courses in AY 2021-2022. The Office of International and Alumni Affairs developed a program for implementation which will be in coordination with the Graduate School, College of Administration, Business, Hospitality, and Accountancy, and Gender and Development Office.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Ms. Gale Lee, Director for the Americas, Caribbean and Asia and Mr. Mateo Navalta of CESO; and Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, University President, and Dr. Joanna Paula E. Verano, Director of International and Alumni
Affairs of SLSU. The virtual signing ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Jane Imai, CESO’s Program Manager for Asia, and Project Officers Mr. Erwin Altamarino and Mr. Vener Valerio, Dr. Gondelina A. Radovan, VP-Academic Affairs, Dr. Mari Jane A. Lee, GS Dean, Dr. Chona V. Cayabat, Dean of College of Administration, Business, Hospitality, and Accountancy, and Dr. Susana A. Salvacion, Head of Gender and Development Program of SLSU.
