An opening program providing a background on the university’s partnership with CESO and establishing the objectives of the mentoring project, was facilitated by OIAA. An inspirational message by CABHA Dean Dr. Chona V. Cayabat, an introduction of faculty (7 BSBA and 3 BSHM) by the Program Chairs Dr. Resty P. Umali and Mr. Sherwin Pernia, for BSBA and BSHM respectively, and the presentation of the CESO Advisor (CA) by CESO Project Officer Mr. Erwin Altamarino, followed afterwards. CA Gerry O’Connor extended his appreciation for being part of the project. He provided an outline of topics to be discussed. He illustrated the parts of business plan and explained the significance of each part.
In addition, CA O’Connor discussed how to conduct product and customer analysis and gave some samples on furniture and restaurant business. Questions were raised by the participants and addressed accordingly by the CA. Appreciation on the talk was afterwards extended by the faculty and students to the mentor. The CA is delighted to receive such appreciation and was generous to give a monetary reward for the best participant to be selected by the faculty. A total of 220 joined the virtual mentoring session – 203 students and 17 faculty and staff.
