The COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases allowed limited face-to-face classes at 50 percent capacity in all degree programs in areas under Alert Level 2.

Commission of Higher Education (CHED) Chairman Popoy De Vera said on November 5, 2021, that schools are only allowed to reopen if they complied with the CHED requirements – letter of intent, retrofitting their facilities and fast tracking the vaccination for students and school personnel.

De Vera added that parents of students may also be vaccinated and encourage the universities to be more active in educating the benefits of the vaccination.
Meanwhile, he reported that about 30 percent of the 3 million college student population in the country are vaccinated against COVID-19.

The guidelines on the limited face-to-face is expected to be released next week.
