Dr. Maaliw, to represent SLSU in World AI IOT Congress
Dr. Renato R. Maaliw III, dean of the College of Engineering (CEn), will be representing Southern Luzon State University in the prestigious World Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Conference to be held virtually and at Seattle, Washington, USA, on May 10-13, 2021.
Dr. Maaliw’s paper entitled “Early Prediction of Electronics Engineering Licensure Examination Performance Using Random Forest” which “compared the accuracies of several classification algorithms to identify predictors for student’s professional certification success using an extensive data mining process” was accepted for virtual paper presentation.
The said conference was organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the largest technical professional association advancing technology for humanity.
Attendees of the conference include Elisa Bertino and Bharat K. Bhargava of Purdue University, Songwu Lu of University of California, Heng Ji of University of Illinois, Goutam Chattopadhyay of NASA – Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Clifford S. Stein of Columbia University.
