CLF approves 25-year franchise for Radyo, TV SLSU
The Committee on Legislative Franchises approved the application of Southern Luzon State University for a 25-year Radio and Television station franchise during its regular meeting via Zoom conference call, Aug. 31.
The meeting was chaired by Hon. Franz Josef Alvarez, and attended by Hon. Mark Enverga and Angelina “Helen” Tan. Hon. Aleta Suarez, Hon. David Suarez, and Hon. Anna Villaraza-Suarez also expressed their support to the initiative through a letter to the CLF
The establishment of Radio and Television Broadcasting Stations is an opportunity for SLSU to enrich its approaches in providing education, training, and valuable information to its clienteles, including students and various communities.
The representative of Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and the representative from the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) expressed their full support in the establishment of the Radyo and TV SLSU which will be the first broadcast station operated by a State University in the CALABARZON Region.
