Vice-President for Academic Affairs
The Vice President for Academic Affairs shall be appointed by the Board upon the recommendation of the President, in consultation
with the various University Deans, Academic Directors and Directors of Services.
The VP-AA shall report directly to the President. S/he shall supervise the Graduate School and all the Colleges, the University Registrar, University Librarian and the Dean of Student Affairs. S/he shall sit as chairperson of the Personnel Selection and Promotion Board whenever the position involved is under the Academic Affairs, Council of Deans, Committee on Curricular Review
and Revision, and the Technical Panel on Faculty Manual . S/he shall likewise sit as member of the Academic Council where s/he shall act as presiding officer in the absence of the President. Moreover, s/he shall sit as member of Administrative Council, Research and Extension Council, 9 Graduate Studies Committee, University Budget Committee, Admissions Committee, and Student Scholarship Committee.
The VP-AA shall have a term of 2 years from the date of his/her appointment. In highly exceptional cases or depending on the need or the exigency of the service as determined by the Board, the VP-AA shall be allowed for another term or terms; Provided, that the term shall not exceed the term of the appointing authority.
