The objectives of the College of Medicine include: a) addressing the shortage of medical professionals by offering a Doctor of Medicine program which will respond to the challenges in the healthcare situations and services in the province, especially in the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas and island municipalities; b) strengthening the healthcare system in the province of Quezon and the CALABARZON region by promoting community health and engagement in rural medical service provision among its medical students; c) providing opportunities to deserving academically excellent individuals who aspire to become medical doctors but cannot afford the high financial cost of a medical degree program.
The SLSU College of Medicine will help the people of Quezon province and the CALABARZON region to aspire, achieve, and serve the community.
