SLSU Gumaca – BSED Social Studies Program Eyes for COPC
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Regional Quality Team (RQAT) conducted a remote evaluation of the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in Social Studies offered in the Southern Luzon State University Gumaca Campus.
The assessment was conducted via virtual conference on October 14, 2021 with Dr. Ronald A. Gonzales and Dr. Victoria C. Naval as the evaluators. Dr. Evangeline B. Mecija, the director of SLSU Gumaca represented the campus together with Program Chairperson Krish Bernandette P. Palay and other faculty members. While Mr. Percival C. Verano facilitated the program.
Dr. Gonzales and Dr. Naval suggested improvements such as the educational development of the campus’ faculty members; and the installation of a librarian and a guidance counselor solely for the campus.
SLSU Gumaca promised for an immediate compliance to offer better services.
The RQAT remote evaluation is essential in ensuring the quality of the programs offered by the university to its students. It is conducted to acquire the COPC and continue offering the program in the campus.
