SLSU conducts committee meeting with DOH, QMC

Southern Luzon State University conducted a committee meeting with Quezon Medical Center Chief of Hospital Dr. Rolando A. Padre and the Department of Health Hon. Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde via Zoom conference, July 22, 2021.

The 12 subcommittee heads for the institution of the SLSU College of Medicine presented their progress reports to the representatives of QMC and DOH. Comments and suggestions were provided to improve the infrastructure, curriculum, student support and services, research capabilities, and working arrangements.

“I strongly suggest benchmarking of Medical Schools in the Philippines so that you can see the setup of the facilities for yourself,” Usec. Villaverde stated.

Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, overall chair of the committee on the institution of the SLSU COM, also expressed her gratitude to the attendees who provided the much needed feedback in order to ensure the success of the committees in preparing the documents needed to operate the COM.
