SLSU conducts Basic GIS Training-Workshop
Southern Luzon State University conducted a training and workshop on basic Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for its faculty members via blended learning modalities, Aug. 10-13.
The training was conducted at the Computer Laboratory of the Management Information Systems – Information and Communication Technology (MIS-ICT) for its face-to-face participants and via Zoom for its remote participants.
Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, university president, spearheaded the training in order to re-tool the faculty members of SLSU and in order to increase their research and development capability and productivity.
Prof. Ma. Simeona Martinez and Ms. Gerrilyn Sandocal of the Geography department of the University of the Philippines – Diliman served as the trainers.The training was facilitated by the MIS-ICT through the leadership of Dr. Arvin C. Natividad, head of the unit.
