College Information
History
1980 – Creation of the School of Agriculture offering a 2-year course in Agricultural Technology focusing on basic crop, poultry and livestock production.
1982 – The 2-year Agricultural Technology became a ladderized program leading to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. The School of Natural Resources offering a Bachelor of Science in Forestry was created.
1986 – Merging of School of Agricultural Technology and School of Natural Resources into School of Agriculture.
1989 – Bachelor of Science in Fisheries was transferred from Guinhawa, Quezon, Quezon to main campus in Lucban, Quezon under the School of Agriculture.
1990 – Offering of Diploma in Agricultural Technology and Bachelor of Agricultural Technology.
1995 – Offering Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science major in Resource Management.
1996 – SLPC was recognized as the Top Ten School among the universities and colleges in the Philippines offering Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
2001 – Offering Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majors in Animal and Crop Science and Master in Forestry major in Silviculture and Agroforestry.
2003 – SLPC graduate hurdled the 12th place in the 1st Licensure Examination for Agriculturist
2004 – SLPC membership in Philippines Forestry Education Network, Inc-PFEN
2006 - School of Agriculture was renamed College of Agriculture. Two SLPC graduates placed 5th (For. Ryan Paradero) and 8th (Raymond Amido) in the Foresters Licensure Examination. SLPC was awarded as the Top Ten School Offering Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
2007 – SLSU was awarded as Top Four School in the Philippines offering BS Forestry by the PRC.
2009- One of SLSU graduates (For. Alfred Belen) placed 10th in the Forester Licensure Examination.
2011- The Master of Science in Forestry was subjected to preliminary survey of the AACCUP and has qualified for Candidate Status for level II accreditation
2011-The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor of Science in Forestry was accredited for level II by the AACCUP
2014- Forester Karla Mangundayao hurdled the 5th Place in Foresters Licensure Examination
2015- Mr. Wilfredo De Mesa got the 10th Place in Licensure Examination for Agriculturists
2015- BS Agriculture and BS Forestry Programs passed the AACCUP Level III Phase 1 Accreditation. BS FORESTRY Program was recognized as the only CHED Center of Development in Region IVA for January 1, 2016 to December 2018
2017 – Ms. Gay Francia got the 2nd Place in Licensure Examination for Agriculturists.
2017- BS Forestry Program passed the AACCUP Level III Phase 2 Accreditation

- Produce globally competitive graduates who are academically equipped in the fields of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Science.
- Develop and generate state-of-the-art technologies that are feasible and sustainable.
- Become a CHED Center of Development in Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Science.
