The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) conducted a remote evaluation of the following engineering courses offered in the Southern Luzon State University – Main Campus: BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Civil Engineering, and BS in Electronics Engineering.
The assessment was conducted via virtual conference on November 5, 2021 with various evaluators including Dr. Peter Ureta, Dr. May Rose Imperial, Dr. Manuel Belino, Engr. Enrico Claro Delmoro, and Engr. Cesar Coronado among others, each assigned to the course of their expertise.
The evaluator praised how the faculties are able to conduct and assess student performance in showcasing software application amidst the flexible learning.
The evaluators recommended upgrading and adding more books in the library inventory, as well as creating faculty and laboratory development plans, among others.
The College of Engineering promised for an immediate compliance to offer better services.
The RQAT remote evaluation is essential in ensuring the quality of the programs offered by the university to its students. It is conducted to acquire the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) and continue offering the program in the campus.
