Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs
The Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs shall be appointed by the Board upon the recommendation of the President, in consultation with various University Deans and Directors.
The VP-AFA shall report directly to the President. S/he shall act as Co-Chairperson for the PRAISE Committee. S/he shall likewise sit as member of the Administrative Council and Research and Extension Council. S/he shall act as the Chairperson of the Personnel Selection and Promotion Board if the position under consideration is under the AFA. Otherwise, s/he shall sit as
member of the said committee. Moreover, the VP-AFA shall supervise, with the assistance of the three Directors, namely: Director for Financial Affairs, Director for Administrative and General Services and Director for Business Affairs, the Human Resource Management Office, Procurement and Supply, Medical and Dental, Physical Plant and Facilities, Accounting, Budget, Cashier, and
Business Affairs and such other offices as may be created and approved by the Board.
The VP-AFA shall have a term of 2 years from the date of his/her appointment. In highly exceptional cases or depending on the need or the exigency of the service as determined by the Board, the VP-AFA shall be allowed for another term or terms; Provided, that the term shall not exceed the term of the appointing authority.
