The Southern Luzon State University Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in participation on the 18-day campaign to end violence against women (VAW), conducts a two-day webinar tackling the issues surrounding VAW.

During the first webinar on November 29, GAD Head Dr. Susana Salvacion, and VP for AFA Dr. Frederick Villa encouraged the participants to contribute to a less violent world. Dr. Villa assured that every man in SLSU is one in acknowledging and respecting the rights and privileges of women.

VP for REPDI Dr. Marissa Esperal commended the events that GAD facilitated. Meanwhile, Dr. Doracie Zoleta-Nantes shared her thoughts about violence – stating that families with enough resources have a hard time in dealing with abuse, what more are those who have barely enough.

The guest speaker, Atty. Eric Pail Peralta talked about the legal mandates on VAW. He expounded the laws surrounding violence. Catch the full discussion here: https://fb.watch/9Ag5IOE56H/.

In the next topic, Dr. Zoleta-Nantes will be talking about the different shapes and forms of abuse, and the rights of a woman. Register early here: https://tinyurl.com/DifferentShapesAbuse.
